The stillness is deafening
A brilliant glowing orb shines loudly in the inky midnight sky
illuminating the monkey in my head
chattering, clattering
a runaway train with a one way ticket
on the track to nowhere
Reaching thru the clambering, yammering to
cradle and calm
Shhhhh….breathing in breathing out
Body rising, Inhaling peace
Body falling, Exhaling chaos
Rising, Inhaling quiet
Falling, Exhaling worry
Tucking the monkey in for the night
The next stop is Nod – land of
Shhhhh…
The stillness is deafening
